Daybook is a web application software, Track Sales, Manage Customers, can take Customers advance payment against order, sales management also with advance adjustment, Day wise Opening and Closing amount, can add new users and get all the reports which are require to your office with many more features.

Minimum System Requirements

  • PHP 5.6.x or higher
  • MySQL Version 5.x or higher

Local Server Installation

To run application you need to download web server, you can download it from for Windows/Linux/Mac. For Windows systems download MAMPP or XAMPP Server, for Macintosh systems download MAMPP server,for Linux systems download LAMPP or XAMPP server.

For demonstration we are using here XAMPP server. In all the servers have MySQL extensions. No need to download third party MySQL.

Run the Local Server

In Windows systems c:/xampp/xampp-control.exe -> Double click -> you will get XAMPP control panel -> find 'Apache' Click on start button -> find MySQL Click on start button. This is much server setup is enough to run application.

For demonstration we are using here XAMPP server. In all the servers have MySQL extensions. No need to download third party MySQL.

Test the Local Server Installation

  • Open Browser type: http://localhost or http://localhost/dashboard
  • It will show XAMPP Welcome Page

Application Installation in Local Server

    #1 STEP
  • Unzip the application folder
  • Copy source code into c:/xampp/htdocs/ or c:/wampp/www/
  • We assure here your application folder name is 'daybook'. Location: c:/xampp/htdocs/daybook
  • #2 STEP
  • In source folder you will get 'install' folder. Location: c:/xampp/htdocs/daybook/install
  • Open Browser type: http://localhost/daybook/install or https://www.example.com/install
  • Please enter information in installer form.
    1. Hostname
    2. Username
    3. Password
    4. Database Name
    5. Url
    6. Codeigniter version
    7. -After installation you will be redirected to application.

Note !

If you are Installing Application on the internet server you no need to worry about server setup, online server already loaded with all setup, you just need to create database manually and move to install. That's it :)

Login Screen:

Username : admin
Password :admin123

Forgot Password:
Login Screen -> Click on "I Forgot my Password link"
Here you have enter registered email id, after submitting you will get One Time Password(OTP). Please enter that OTP in next form for password change.

Alert !

After login you need to change the admin password for security purpose.

Adding a Categories it's a very easy task. Enter Category name, description(Optional field) and click on Save button.

Adding a Items it's a very easy task. Enter Item name, Select Category, Purchase Price(Optional field), Sales Price(Optional field) and click on Save button.

Adding a Customers it's a very easy task. Enter Customer name, Mobile and click on Save button.

Manage Advance -> New Advance

  • New Advance : Creating or entering a Advance Entry information in Daybook App is a very easy task. You need to select date, Customer name from selection box, Amount, Payment Type, Note(Optional field) and click on Save button.

You can view the all the added Advance list and you can manage Advance list by Delete,Update actions.

  • New Sales :You can sale the items to Walk in Customer(Without Customer Information) and With Customer Selection(With Customer Information).
  • New Sales with Advance Adjustment:Here you need to Select Customer and Need to Specify the Advance Adjustment.

Sales List:
Manage Sales -> Sales List
You can view the all the added Sales list and you can manage Sales list by Delete,Update actions.

Sales Transaction Information:
Manage Sales -> Sales List -> Select Any Sales(Action button) -> View Transaction

  • View Transaction: You view the Sales Information like Sales Date,Sales ID, Customer Information, Credit Information, Advance Adjustment, Payment List. Where you can also able to delete Paid amount.

Expensea -> Categories List -> New Category
Creating or entering a Expense Category information in Daybook is a very easy task. Enter Category Name, Enter Description and click on Save button.

You can view the all the added Expense Category list and you can manage Sales list by Delete,Update actions.

New Expense:
Expenses -> Expenses List -> New Expense
Creating or entering a Expense information in Daybook is a very easy task. Select Date, Select Category Name, enter Expense for, enter Amount, enter Reference no., enter Note and click on Save button.

You can view the all the added Expense list and you can manage Sales list by Delete,Update actions.

Cash In Hand:
Left Side Bar -> Cash In Hand
Managing the Cash very easy in Daybook application, Select Date, Enter Opening Amount, Enter Closing Amount and click on Save button.
Just you need to enter Opening amount and Closing amount. Software automatically Manages Sales and expenses.
Formula:
Total = Opening amount + (Sales Amount - Expense Amount)
Difference Amount = Total - Closing Amount
Right side you can see the Date wise Daybook Details. If Transaction Amount is in Negative Value - it shows the you have More expenses.

Cash in Hand :

Sales Report:
Other Reports -> Sales Report

  • Select from date, to date and customer name-> click on show button.
  • In the same form it will shows all the required information
  • You can export the report data into excel format.

Customers Report:
Other Reports -> Customers Report

  • Select Customer Name else you can view all the customers Report at a time-> click on show button.
  • In the same form it will shows all the required information
  • You can export the report data into excel format.

Expense Report:
Other Reports -> Expense Report

  • Select from date, to date and Category name-> click on show button.
  • In the same form it will shows all the required information
  • You can export the report data into excel format.

Sales Summary Report:
Other Reports -> Summary
This Report Divided into three views.

  1. Today's Sales Report Summary (Based on Items Category).You can export the report data into excel format.
  2. Monthly Sales Report Summary (Based on Items Category).You can export the report data into excel format.
  3. Total Sales Report Summary (Based on Items Category).You can export the report data into excel format.

Send SMS:
Left Side Bar -> Send SMS

  • Send Custom Message to anyone. You can add more then one mobile number at a time with Comma(,) Separator. Ex: 9999999999,8888888888 -etc
  • Enter number in Mobile Input box.
  • Enter text in message Input box.

SMS API:
Settings -> SMS API
You can add SMS Api, Required some of the required fields are compulsory. And here you enable or disable SMS Sending Process in Software.

Company Profile:
Settings -> Company Profile
You can update the company profile information's like Company name, Phone, Mobile, Email, GSTIN Number, Website link, Country, State, Postcode, Address and Software Logo(You view logo in Login Page).

Users List:
Settings -> Users List
You can view the all the added users list and you can manage users by status active and inactive operation(Enable or Disable Users).

Create User:
Settings -> Create User
Adding a User it's a very easy task. Enter user name, enter password and confirm the password fields of the new user and click on Save button.

Change Password:
Settings -> Change Password
Logged user can change the password. You need to enter current password, New password and confirm password fields and click save button.

Database Backup:
Settings -> Database Backup
By clicking on Database Backup icon/name you can able to download the database on you system.
